I work with nonfiction book authors who want to use their ideas and experiences to make the world better. I can tailor our work together to meet you where you are in your project.

Author Start Kit

You have a book idea — maybe you have written some notes. You have a story to tell, or lessons drawn from work and life, research to share, or a combination of these elements and more.

What do you do now? This service will guide you through the starting steps.

What it is: One-on-one coaching to help you clarify and stress-test your book idea.

This is for you if: You have a book idea (maybe you have started taking notes for it) and you could use support to plan your next steps and decide how to measure progress.

How it works: After an introductory meeting to establish goals and expectations, we will meet once a month to review your submitted work and track your progress. All meetings will be on Zoom.

Working with Jennie Nash’s Blueprint for a Nonfiction Book, we will review your responses to key questions such as:

  • Why write this book?

  • Who is your ideal reader?

  • What do you promise readers they will get from your book?

  • And more.

What you will get: Ongoing, personalized support as you develop your book idea, including:

  • Guidance on how to get started and what comes next

  • Accountability for making progress and staying on track toward your goal

  • Materials you can use to build a blueprint for your nonfiction book.
